The ‘Man from the Pru’, a household phrase since the turn of the century, was launched as an advertising image to re-establish the identity of the agent in the post-war world. The image helped to re-brand the Industrial Branch as Home Service, providing the whole range of Prudential products to customers in their home and moving away from the 19th century focus on funeral benefits.
